Theatre for All…women of course.

If you had a chance to look at the “Another Place” trailer posted right here, you saw a woman play my sister/boss named Jessica Dollard. We were high school drama geeks, sharpening our chops on theatre projects like Fiddler On the Roof and more.

As time has gone on, we’ve all done our thing out in the world, yet Jessica has managed to create a truly unique not-for-profit theatre group which is taking Calgary by storm. Which is why the Calgary Herald featured her story and merger with another theatre group in today’s edition.

While we focus so much of our attention on web video, all of us are deeply rooted in theatre and in all reality probably wouldn’t be what we are doing today if it wasn’t for the thrill of live performance.

Well Meg,
I hope that you might get the chance to see the play that I will be appearing in. It is an original script by Simone Saunders called Amber Lights. It is about a young girl that goes missing from her reserve up north and is last seen somewhere along the "Highway of Tears". There aren't too many laughs in this piece, but it definitely packs a punch. I will send out a message for people to come and it the show in early November.

Hahahaha...well played Meg. I think the most eligible candidates right now for all things theater are both Dave and Erik. In fact, Dave is appearing in a play in the not so distant future!

I read your site often Meg and am not surprised you've been featured...heck..I think you're on Fuddy's Friends list now!

Ooh, I didn't know you guys were all theater geeks too. How would your fans find out what plays you might be doing at any given time? Just by checking the local paper, or what?

Not that I live anywhere near where you all are, but I'm hoping to feature one or all of you hilarious geniuses on my web site at some point, and I have a lot of Canadian fans/readers who might be interested in catching you in something. (http://megwood.com -- once featured in Elle Canada (as well as Yahoo! Magazine, Mademoiselle, and USA Today, but none of those were nearly as exciting as the Canadian cred!))
