How To Remember That Thing That’s On The Tip Of Your Tongue

You see that person at the grocery store and think to yourself “Oh my god I know that person. How do I know that person?” You mine your brain, mine it more and then suddenly it dawns on you…”Yes, I took a class with them!”

But…What’s their name?

Well, here’s a tried, tested and true way to remember and all you need is knowledge of the alphabet. I learned this little trick of the trade playing endless games of Trivial Pursuit, the old school edition. Simply go through the alphabet and it will come to you.

The system isn’t perfect, sometimes you’ll be on “S” and your answer “Melissa” will pop into your head, but trust me it works.

This trick is also known as "How Ryan cheats at Trivial Pursuit". Your winning days are numbered, my friend. Tee hee hee. (Okay, in less obnoxious words... I actually used this little tip today duing a meeting and it worked marvelously. At least I think it did. If the guys name was in fact Mark, then it worked perfectly. I owe you one, Mr. Northcott.)

Oh Ada, it works! Sure it's a little bizarre, but it works...It's definitely an embarrassing situation, I've done it more than my share of times too...

Oh that happens to me more times that I care to admit.. Its horrible specially when you have to get someone's attention and you just can't remember their name and have to say like "hey you! um yeah, can you pass me that?" and sometimes admit to them that you just forgot their name.. But hey at least they haven't been forgotten totally.. Gonna give your system a try :P
