Back on stage

I love the theater. There is a real sense of danger to it. You’re out on the stage with your fellow actors exposed and alone. You immerse yourself in a world of make believe as you struggle with the truth of the story being told for the audience. But there is such a thrill that comes along with that. A real adrenalin rush. Balancing between reality and fiction with a mix of real emotions that send you into being in the moment with those other actors.
I have missed this feeling quite a lot. But I have received the opportunity to perform in a play called Amber Lights, which will be showing at The Birds and Stone theater in Calgary (16 Ave. and 1 St. N.W.) from Nov.12 till the 22 at 8:00 pm. The show is about a young girl that goes missing up north along the “Highway of Tears”. I really hope to see you out there in the audience.
I tip my hat to you,
David.

That’s excellent news! And so much hard work goes into theatre projects. You must be excited… and exhausted. Congrats… although, I have to agree that breaking legs is a fairly barbaric tradition… all those poor actors with mangled limbs. There has to be a better way.

Oh! Hadn’t thought about that.. But then again, not much chance to ski in Mexico, unless there is sand skiing.. Is there? Mmm but still the idea of sliding down like that is terrifying.. The one time I tried snowboarding I spend 2 days on the kids slope trying to learn and the rest of the week in the magical place with the warm wine ;D.. So yeah, lets avoid the breakage of limps completely, what else could get broken instead to mark the occasion?

Thank you Ada,
But I hope that I do not break a leg, as the skiing season is nearly upon us. Perhaps it would be best to break something smaller and less important. Would it suffice for me to break a finger?

Hey thats awesome! I don’t know if I should be saying congrats or break a leg, but I’m sure it will be great, I’ve seen your vids in Fuddy and I think you rock
