The success of our Car Dance Party Belgium video keeps going and going!

When we were asked by Happiness Brussels, Toyota’s Ad Agency in Belgium, to travel to Belgium and bring our Boris and Juri characters with us – we never thought it would go this far. Car Dance Party began as an idea for one of our videos, Car Dance Party Moscow, where we follow Boris and Juri in learning the proper way to have a car dance. From the moves, etiquette and application the two Russian superstars taught thousands of viewers how to do it right.

The creative people at Happiness Brussels saw our video and two weeks later we were in Brussels crafting the idea for Car Dance Party Belgium. We finished shooting a mere ten days later and when all was said an done, the two videos, Car Dance Party Belgium and the Car Dance Party Moves video were instant hits. Generating thousands of car dance uploads from regular people all over Belgium, media attention, so much…well…have a look at the video below.

Now, after winning Eurobest awards (search Aygo), 4 MIXX Awards and other honors, perhaps the best of all is the Oscars of the Ad world – two Golden Lions at the Cannes Lion Awards.

When we were shooting Car Dance Party for Toyota Belgium, we were taken by the ad agency, Happiness Brussels to a private concert of Belgium’s #1 export Arsenal. This song was stuck in my head for a while after the show.

Thanks to the good people at SuperU.ca and SuperChannel we’ll be on the TV February 24th, 2009 on SuperChannel! Called the Super U Winner Showcase, it is a collection of short films featuring the winners of various contests Super U has had.

We were lucky enough to win with Car Dance Party Moscow.

Indeed, before they were Car Dance Party stars, Boris and Juri were simply a part of the smash pop group Dschinghis Khan. It was there that Boris crafted what was to be the current Juri from a wolf-raised, abondoned child.

In this video Boris is in red with the hat, Juri in green, Boris’ blond ex-wife in red and Ben Kingsley in blue? Sure, let’s go with that.

The “Car Dance Party Belgium” contest has wrapped up at http://www.cardanceparty.be! Ten videos remain and they’ll battle it out for Car Dance Party Belgium supremacy and a brand new Toyota Aygo!

So, we took a look at the ten remaining videos and have decided who should win. It should come as no surprise that we choose Eric and Erica’s video entitled “Car Dance Party Transylvania!”. With that said, I implore and plead with all of you to vote, comment and plug the heck out of “Car Dance Party Transylvania”.

Here’s WHY you should. They aren’t Belgian, and I doubt they’ll head all the way to Belgium to pick up a car that isn’t accepted here in Canada, so they have decided that if they win Eric and Erica will donate the car or value of to a charity in Belgium. How awesome is that!?!?
